Can I have a facial while pregnant?
Suitability depends on the products, techniques, your skin and your pregnancy. This pregnancy facial uses a gentle hydration-focused routine with the listed exclusions. Tell us about your pregnancy and any medical advice before treatment; check with your maternity care team if you have concerns.
Is a pregnancy-safe facial safe for every pregnancy?
No facial can be guaranteed suitable for every pregnancy. We use the term pregnancy facial for a gentle protocol designed for expectant mums. Individual product ingredients, allergies, skin conditions and any pregnancy-related restrictions still need to be checked.
How long does the pregnancy facial take?
The pregnancy facial takes 45 minutes and includes eight gentle treatment steps. Steam is optional and the steps can be adapted to your comfort.
What is excluded from this facial for pregnant women?
This protocol includes no RF, HIFU, High Frequency, galvanic treatment, microcurrent, retinol, hydroquinone or strong chemical peels. The Cold Hammer step uses cooling only, without electrical stimulation.
Do I have to have steam during the pregnancy facial?
No. Gentle steam is optional, only used if you feel comfortable and without excessive heat. If you prefer to skip it, that time is used for gentle care and comfort.
What does the Cold Hammer step do?
After the mask, the cooling applicator gently glides over the skin to provide a cooling, soothing sensation. It is used in cooling mode only. It is not a treatment for a medical skin condition and results vary.
